LABOUR’S EMILY BROTHERS SAYS LABOUR WILL TACKLE SCANDAL OF CANCER PATIENTS DENIED LIFE SAVING TREATMENT

Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for Sutton and Cheam, Emily Brothers has set out her party’s plans for a £330 million fund for all types of cancer treatment. This includes latest forms of radiotherapy, surgery and drugs. Ms Brothers said:
“We will publish a new cancer strategy within six months of a Labour Government and a plan to tackle ageism in cancer treatment. Additionally, Labour will expand Teenage Cancer Trust’s awareness programme to every school in England.
“We are committed to creating a new annual Cancer Treatments Fund to improve access, not just to the latest drugs, but also to the latest forms of radiotherapy and surgery that are too often not available for thousands of people with cancer.”
